Monitoring Equipment

A key part of the trial is the kit which will be installed near the participants electric meter and which will report usage to a central monitoring body. The kit, installation and, if necessary, installation of a power socket near the electric meter, will be funded within the trial, there is no cost to the participant.

Once installed the equipment will need no maintenance from the participant.

 

Monitoring App

The participant may choose to download and utilise the app to control/flex their energy usage according to notifications and information received through the app. Participants will earn additional incentives should they choose to become involved in this way.

 

Community Check-Ins

Regular discussions, questionnaires and other check-ins will be arranged by the trial team throughout the trial period. Involvement in these discussions will be essential to help meet the aims of the trial and understand issues arising.

 

Participant Consent

Formal consent will be required from the participants, this will protect all parties and will cover the GDPR policies around the use of participants personal information.
